This necklace is very near and dear to my heart as its an upgrade of the very first piece i ever made for myself. It features an image of one of the Vlad coins wrapped in .925 sterling silver wire. It has been oxidized and polished to bring out the depth of the wrap and give it an antique appeal. This piece measures a little under 2 inches and will come hung on a cord necklace.
* Matching chains can be purchased separately.
** These pieces are made to order and can take 5-7 days to complete. There may be slight differences in the wrap, making each piece unique.
👀 Vlad III, Vlad Tepes, known as Vlad the Impaler or Vlad Dracula, was Voivode of Wallachia three times between 1448 and his death. He is often considered one of the most important rulers in Wallachian history and a national hero of Romania to this day. He was killed in battle sometime around January 10, 1477 while trying to defend Wallachia from the Ottomans.
Vlad's reputation for cruelty and his patronymic inspired the name of the vampire Count Dracula, for whom, however, he did not serve as the general inspiration, in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula.
